Learn To Cs Like A Challenger - Season 8 - Guide by Challenger Tier Player

First off...WHY?

  The amount of creeps available for you to kill is a constant on average, 15 to 16 cs equates to the gold earned by one kill.

  Example:

                               AT 20 MINUTES...  

              A 0/0/0/ DRAVEN with 175 cs is just as fed as a 5/0/0 AKALI with 100 cs 

                         MORE GOLD=MORE ITEMS=MORE ADVANTAGE

                                                              okay, i get it but... HOW!

  The best way to practice something is to isolate the individual core skills and focus on each skill one at time.                                      The maximum possible cs in lane at 5 minutes is 38, with that in mind

           DO THESE EXERCISE:

 These are all performed in custom bot games and build upon the rules of the last exercise, master them and watch the gold roll in.

1- Get at least 95% of max cs (36 of 38) with no lane opponents, and normal items.

   this will let you almost perfectly when no one is bothering you and makes it a huge problem for the enemy team to leave you alone in lane for long periods of time, as you will get farmed very quickly relative to other players.

2- Same as exercise 1, but this time you must keep moving between each auto attack , stay out of auto attack range of the minions before you last hit, and go in for the minions only when you will get the cs in one hit

   the reason for this exercise is that it naturally increases your mechanical ability, to remain mobile even while csing, and allows you to remain somewhat safe most of the time in lane.

3- Same as exercises 1 and 2 but this time you must alternate each wave between auto attacking as much as possible and auto attacking as little as possible 

  This teaches you how to both push and freeze a lane while maintaining cs when alone thus giving you the option of whether to go for turret pushing or freezing depending on the in-game situation.

4- Do step 3 again, but this time while 1 bot as your opponent to simulate an enemy laner`s herass

  This will help you not only focus on the minion wave, but your opponent too

5- Same as step 4, but this time with 2 bots in your lane! simply add 5 bots to the enemy team in a custom game.

6- Step 5, but drop your items

  The pressure for making mistakes is higher because the bots will pack a much larger punch if you dont have items, this will help you minimalize the occurence when a minion has 10hp after your auto hits and you miss the cs.

 7- Step 6 rules, with a twist : glance at the mini-map to attain vital game info between last hits. glance at the score board every so often.

  This reduces your tunnel vision and promotes an understanding of that particular game as a whole before grouping up in mid and late game in addition to teaching you to plan when to get cs and not to get cs 

 8- Perform step 7 , but keep track of both their minion wave and your minion wave 

  Later on, in pvp games , this will help you to go better plan when you should harass the enemy , so it`s best to get in the habit now.

                             A FEW TIPS 

 For minion under tower it takes 2 turret shots and 1 auto attack to kill melee minions and 1 auto attack followed by a 1 turret shot and then a second auto attack to kill the ranged caster minions.

 Getting that last cs sometimes just isn`t worth the amount of harass the enemy can put on you . watch pro streams and you`ll see they sacrifice some cs in unfavorable math-ups. if you Have to head back to base and miss two minion wave because the enemy dumped their whole kit on you when you grabbed that last caster minion, you`ll feel silly.
